Job Overview

About Stripe

Stripe is a leading financial infrastructure platform designed for businesses of all sizes, from global enterprises to burgeoning startups. Millions of companies worldwide rely on Stripe to manage their payments, boost revenue, and unlock new business opportunities. Our overarching mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, a goal that presents us with a vast and exciting landscape of work. This provides an unparalleled chance to make the global economy accessible to everyone while undertaking some of the most impactful work of your career.

About the Team

The Central Eastern Europe (CEE) sales team operates as a highly consultative unit, dedicated to fostering the growth of Stripe’s largest customers within the region. We collaborate with some of the most dynamic and rapidly expanding companies globally, including prominent names like Booksy, Maczfit, and ElevenLabs. By leveraging Stripe’s advanced payments and financial infrastructure, these businesses are able to unlock significant new revenue streams and avenues for growth.

What You’ll Do

As an Account Executive specializing in Existing Business, your primary role will be to forge strategic partnerships between Stripe and the world’s most innovative and fast-growing companies. You will achieve this by educating them on how Stripe’s online commerce infrastructure can transform their payment operations into a distinct competitive advantage. Specifically, we are seeking an individual who can effectively execute long-term sales strategies, engage seamlessly with both internal and external stakeholders, align technical and business requirements with product teams, build substantial value in competitive scenarios, lead complex commercial negotiations, and ultimately close deals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with existing Enterprise Stripe customers to devise and implement long-term sales strategies that drive revenue expansion.
  • Take ownership of the complete sales cycle, encompassing business case development, deal structuring and negotiation, through to closing and activation.
  • Manage a defined list of named accounts and develop comprehensive account plans to secure and grow business with high-growth technology companies.
  • Formulate and execute outbound strategies to generate and nurture new opportunities within your accounts.
  • Lead deal strategy and commercial negotiations for large, intricate renewal agreements.
  • Cultivate robust relationships with executive-level stakeholders within your assigned portfolio of business.
  • Spearhead account mapping initiatives and orchestrate effective meetings with the appropriate external stakeholders to broaden the customer relationship.
  • Lead and contribute to team projects focused on refining our sales processes and shaping the overall Stripe sales culture.

Who You Are

We are looking for candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for consideration. If you meet these criteria, we strongly encourage you to apply. Preferred qualifications are considered a bonus and not a strict requirement.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of sales experience, with a preference for experience selling highly technical products to enterprise customers, demonstrating a consistent track record of top performance.
  • The ability to comprehend technical requirements and architect solutions that span multiple Stripe products.
  • Proven capability to develop and execute account plans that cover multiple business units within complex organizational structures.
  • A natural aptitude for working effectively with a diverse range of individuals, both internally and externally.
  • Strong presentation skills, particularly for engaging in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English, complemented by fluency in either Polish or Romanian.
  • The ability to operate effectively in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced work environment.
  • A keen interest in technology and a deep understanding of the relevant market landscape.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in additional CEE languages would be advantageous.
  • Experience within the fintech or payments sector is a plus, although not a prerequisite.

Hybrid Work at Stripe

This role offers flexibility, being available either in an office setting or a remote location (defined as being 35+ miles or 56+ kilometers from a Stripe office). In-office employees are expected to spend at least 50% of their time in a given month at their local office or engaging with users, balancing in-person collaboration with individual flexibility. Remote employees, while welcome to visit the office for team or business meetings, are expected to work primarily from home.

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is PLN 555,700 – PLN 833,500. This range is indicative of On Target Earnings (OTE), encompassing both base salary and target sales commissions/bonuses, and may be adjusted based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants in different locations can inquire about the salary range during the interview process. Benefits may include equity, company bonuses, sales commissions/bonuses, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.

Join Us

At Stripe, we seek individuals with passion, grit, and integrity. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every aspect of the job description. Your unique skills and passion will be recognized. We welcome diverse perspectives and individuals who think rigorously and challenge assumptions.
