Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed reconciliations across key accounts, reviewing FY-to-date transactions to identify and resolve allocation discrepancies.
  • Oversee the AP function and provide guidance to a Finance Officer, ensuring accuracy and control.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and support P&L variance analysis.
  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end close and management reporting.
  • Prepare and post journals including accruals, prepayments, allocations, and depreciation.
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly EOM reporting pack.
  • Support BAS/GST processing and payroll-related accounting requirements.
  • Extract and analyze data from ERP systems and related sources.
  • Ensure project financials are accurate and reliable for forecasting purposes.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register including additions, disposals, and transfers.
  • Process monthly depreciation journals and ensure capitalization compliance.
  • Support process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Senior Accountant or similar professional accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
