Job Description: Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding

We specialize in providing reliable and tailored freight solutions across road, sea, and air, alongside customs clearance, warehousing, and courier services. The role offers a dynamic mix of office-based and field-based sales activities, allowing you to build strong customer connections both from our Sheffield office and through regular client visits. You will play a pivotal role in representing the company, developing customer accounts, and driving our future success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate new business opportunities across our comprehensive range of freight and logistics services.
• Cultivate and build strong, long-term relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, and other commercial businesses.
• Proactively prospect for new clients through various channels including telephone, email, LinkedIn, and industry networking events.
• Attend customer meetings and site visits to understand their specific needs and present tailored solutions.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations and diligently follow up on all proposals.
• Develop and grow existing customer accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling.
• Represent Dolphin Freight Services professionally and effectively within the marketplace, upholding our reputation for service excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Essential:
• Previous experience in freight forwarding or the logistics industry is mandatory.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and lasting relationships.
• A positive, proactive, and results-oriented attitude.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage a diverse workload.
• Confidence in communicating with businesses and stakeholders at all levels.
• A self-motivated individual with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.
• A full UK driving license is required for travel to client sites.
• Desirable:
• Knowledge of sea freight, air freight, road freight, and customs processes.
• Previous experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales.
• Demonstrated experience in managing customer accounts and successfully generating new business.
