As a Solutions Engineer on this team, you will partner directly with frontier AI companies to architect and scale the payments, billing, and monetization infrastructure powering their core businesses.
You will own complex proof-of-concept (POC) engagements end-to-end, combining customer discovery, solution design, rapid prototyping, and cross-functional leadership. You will work closely with customer engineers and technical leaders to prototype solutions, navigate interoperability gaps, and translate field learnings directly into Stripe’s product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Own strategic POCs end-to-end from initial customer commitment through activation.
- Build deeply with users’ engineers and technical leaders to establish credible paths to production.
- Design solutions spanning multiple Stripe products, determining configuration or custom development needs.
- Navigate incomplete products and 0-to-1 interoperability gaps.
- Translate customer deployment friction into clear product requirements to influence core engineering.
- Coordinate account teams, specialist Solutions Architects, and post-sales technical resources.
- Create repeatable patterns, reference architectures, and implementation playbooks.
- Stay current on emerging AI companies, products, business models, and technical developments.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing technical delivery, solutions engineering, or implementation.
- Experience owning complex customer engagements across pre- and post-sales phases.
- Demonstrated success in ambiguous, 0-to-1 environments.
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, application architecture, and data flows.
- Ability to prototype rapidly using modern AI coding harnesses such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Ruby.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and technical leaders.
