Team and Mission

The Radar team is dedicated to helping businesses prevent fraud and abuse without impeding legitimate customer transactions. We utilize Stripe’s extensive global network and advanced machine learning models, coupled with user-friendly dashboards and APIs, to provide comprehensive controls and insights. Our mission is to stay ahead of attackers by understanding new threats, developing effective defenses, and making sophisticated fraud prevention accessible and simple for our users, enabling them to grow their revenue with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate new threats in collaboration with customers, distinguishing isolated incidents from opportunities for scalable solutions.
  • Translate customer insights and threat analysis into a clear product strategy and roadmap, prioritizing defenses that offer the greatest customer and business value.
  • Partner effectively with engineering, data science, and design teams to explore signals, conceptualize solutions, and rapidly develop robust, scalable products.
  • Define product scope thoughtfully, prioritize ruthlessly, and execute with high rigor to set the pace for the team.

Who You Are

  • You possess 8+ years of Product Management experience, with a proven track record of shipping successful products.
  • You are highly analytical, with a rigorous approach to quantitative and qualitative evidence, comfortable using SQL and defining key metrics.
  • You are scrappy and resourceful, experienced in taking products from concept to scale through rapid testing and user feedback.
  • You have strong commercial and business acumen, understanding the link between customer problems and business value.
  • You demonstrate proven cross-functional leadership, including experience working with B2B sales teams on customer discovery and product positioning.
  • You have experience shipping both Dashboard and API products, with a balanced understanding of end-user and developer needs.
  • You are comfortable navigating substantial ambiguity, setting direction with incomplete information, and making thoughtful trade-offs.
  • You possess technical fluency, enabling deep collaboration with engineering and data science teams on complex systems.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of framing complex customer problems precisely and actionably.
  • You exhibit an ownership mindset and maintain a high bar for product quality, demonstrating a commitment to solving user problems and perfecting the user experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing machine learning-powered products and understanding the trade-offs between detection effectiveness and user friction.
  • Experience building tools for fraud analysts or risk teams, or developer products that facilitate real-time decision-making.
  • A background in software engineering, data science, or a related technical field.
