Job Overview

Airbnb is seeking an experienced and visionary Engineering Manager for Core Entities & Trip Intelligence to join the Marketplaces Data and AI organization. This team is responsible for the machine learning, data engineering, and analytics systems that power how guests find the right place to stay and how hosts succeed on the platform. We build foundational data products used across Airbnb — by Trust, Customer Support, Search, and every team that needs a reliable, structured view of what is happening on our platform.

In this role, you will own two closely connected, high-impact areas:

  • Entity Data Foundation: You will lead the engineering execution that makes a shared entity platform real. This involves partnering with data-producing teams across the company to onboard their entities to the shared semantic model, driving the attribute serving platform that delivers over 1,700 quality and behavioral signals at production scale, and maintaining the health and governance contracts that give consumers confidence in the data they build on.
  • Trip Intelligence: As Airbnb continues to expand beyond Stays, you will define and build a holistic, real-time data product (the Trip) to serve as a shared data product not just for analytics, but also to make trips better as they are happening. You will own the trip entity schema from first principles, surface and resolve competing representations, and drive the real-time trip intelligence layer that aggregates signals across the trip lifecycle.

This is a unique opportunity to build foundational infrastructure that matters at company scale, with a concrete, high-visibility greenfield delivery to anchor your first year. You will manage and develop a team of approximately 7 engineers, owning their careers and professional growth while representing the entity platform work in executive-level program reviews.
