Operations Manager – MOE
Job Overview
About the Role
CHANEL is seeking a highly dynamic and experienced Operations Manager for its boutique at the Mall of the Emirates (MOE) in Dubai. This critical leadership position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all non-sales operational functions within the boutique, including Stock Management, Aftersales Service, Cash Handling, and general Administration. The Operations Manager acts as a strategic partner to the Boutique Director, ensuring that the boutique runs seamlessly, complies with all brand standards, and achieves its commercial and operational KPIs.
Key Operational Pillars
The role is built upon several core pillars that ensure the boutique’s daily success:
- Stock & Inventory Management: Collaborating closely with the Stock Manager to supervise inventory flow, prepare for annual audits, and optimize regular stock-taking processes to minimize shrinkage and ensure product availability.
- Aftersales Excellence: Leading the aftersales team to deliver an innovative, high-standard customer service experience that aligns with CHANEL’s luxury reputation, maximizing client satisfaction and retention.
- Financial & Cash Administration: Ensuring strict adherence to cash handling guidelines, security protocols, and financial procedures in coordination with the Cashier Manager.
- Team Leadership & Development: Animating, motivating, and managing the operational team. This includes setting clear objectives, conducting performance appraisals, and defining priority actions for individual career development.
Strategic Partnership & Business Analysis
Beyond daily operations, the Operations Manager plays a vital role in business strategy. By regularly analyzing sales data, inventory levels, and boutique KPIs, you will provide actionable insights to the Boutique Director. You will support category action plans with precise data, facilitate buying decisions in collaboration with the Head Office, and manage boutique purchases within the allocated budget. This role requires a perfect blend of analytical rigor, leadership, and a deep sensitivity to the luxury fashion environment.
Boutique Compliance & Security
Maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance is paramount in a high-traffic luxury environment like the Mall of the Emirates. The Operations Manager is responsible for establishing and monitoring robust security protocols to safeguard boutique assets, merchandise, and personnel. This includes overseeing mall and police permits in coordination with the Administration Supervisor, ensuring that all scheduling complies with local labor laws, and managing external relations with Mall Management and other regulatory bodies.
Brand Image and Decision Making
At CHANEL, every decision is filtered through the lens of the Brand Image. The Operations Manager must embody the values of elegance, precision, and exceptional quality. Whether resolving an aftersales dispute, organizing the back-of-house, or negotiating with mall authorities, you will represent CHANEL’s prestigious standards. This requires a detail-oriented mindset, natural leadership, and the ability to inspire a diverse team to maintain operational excellence at all times.
