Job Overview
Xylem is seeking an ambitious and technically skilled Internal Sales Representative to join its team. Ideal candidates possess 2 to 5 years of domain experience in core water and wastewater engineering, holding a degree in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, and demonstrate proficiency with CRM systems, SAP, and industry standard design software.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage aftermarket sales inquiries, customer orders, and complaints for a large global installed base.
- Proactively maintain relationships with USA DTO teams (inside and outside sales) and third-party representatives.
- Handle products under the Wastewater Treatment Division across USA states and export markets.
- Review engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and make recommendations for spare parts replacement.
- Generate accurate quotations within guidelines using in-house estimation tools and obtain vendor quotes for custom engineered items.
- Update quote statuses in Microsoft Dynamics CRM to assist in forecasting.
- Develop detailed techno-commercial proposals, including scope of work, technical descriptions, performance guarantees, and pricing.
- Issue RFQs to vendors/OEMs, perform technical and commercial evaluations, and assist in vendor selection.
- Conduct project risk analyses, compliance reviews, and margin assessments to ensure profitable and feasible solutions.
- Interact with customers and project stakeholders to resolve technical queries and support acquisition.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering.
- 2 to 5 years of core domain experience in water and wastewater treatment engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in application engineering, proposal development, equipment sizing, and aftermarket sales.
- Strong technical knowledge of water treatment equipment like aeration, biological systems, and chain & scraper mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with mechanical engineering standards, piping, and instrumentation design integration.
- Proficiency in sales analytics, pricing, margin calculation, and commercial risk evaluations.
- Experience using CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics), SAP, and Autodesk 2D design tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
