Phase I: Computer Based Examination (CBE)
- Objective type test conducted in Session-I and Session-II. Session-II scores are normalized for shortlisting.
Phase II: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Applicable only for the post of Havaldar in CBIC & CBN.

SSC MTS CBE Pattern
- Session I: Numerical & Mathematical Ability (20 Questions / 60 Marks) and Reasoning Ability & Problem Solving (20 Questions / 60 Marks).
- Session II: General Awareness (25 Questions / 75 Marks) and English Language & Comprehension (25 Questions / 75 Marks).
- Negative marking is applicable only in Session II.
