The Analytics Centre of Excellence (ACOE) at Airbnb, based in India, is a hub of knowledge and expertise that aims to provide data-driven decision-making, enabling Airbnb’s business goals. We are looking for a Senior Advanced Analyst to work with the Fraud & Safety Delivery team, acting as a trusted partner to product teams and business leaders.
- Work with technical and business teams to develop robust insights, create data narratives and define metrics.
- Build advanced analytical capabilities and solve complex problems with data.
- Leverage Airbnb’s machine learning infrastructure and collaborate with engineers and product managers.
- Manage risk while meeting regulatory compliance requirements through structured and unstructured data.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute projects with regular direction; set roadmaps for projects up to a quarter ahead.
- Ensure data quality and integrity for analysis by blending external and internal datasets.
- Perform data modeling for customers, hosts, cases, and agents using modern frameworks.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting, data investigations, and root cause analysis into operational bottlenecks.
- Devise business metric frameworks and optimization models to support product, operations, and policy decisions.
- Experiment with new Airbnb policy and product features to mitigate risk.
- Influence machine learning models in partnership with Data Science and Engineering teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 6+ years of industry experience in a quantitative role.
- Advanced degree (Masters or PhD preferred) in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or Operations Research.
- Advanced level proficiency in SQL/NoSQL, Python, R, and SAS.
- Intermediate knowledge of data foundations like Presto, Hive, Teradata, and Spark.
- Proficiency in statistical and machine learning techniques, and Tableau or similar BI platforms.
