As the Software Engineer at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will develop and maintain Al Qadsiah’s in-house dashboard application, and cloud infrastructure supporting the increased use of data within the First Team and Academy. This role will enhance the club’s technology infrastructure and data-driven decision-making processes. You will be at the forefront of sports science technology, translating complex athletic data into intuitive, actionable visual dashboards that empower coaching staff and decision-makers.

Key areas of focus include:

• Application Development: Develop and maintain an in-house dashboard for football analytics. Implement front-end and back-end solutions. Design user-friendly interfaces and improve usability based on feedback from stakeholders. Optimize application performance and ensure scalability to handle increasing data loads.
• Data Management and Integration: Design and manage data pipelines, integrating multiple sources using Python and SQL. Maintain and optimize databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL). Ensure data integrity and real-time synchronization across various sports performance platforms.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and manage cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform. Ensure cloud security, networking, and infrastructure reliability. Optimize cloud resource allocation for cost efficiency and scalability. Manage cloud-based storage solutions for high-performance data access and retrieval. Manage the Kubernetes / Docker ecosystems.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work with data and video analysts, coaches, performance and technical staff to deliver effective tools. Present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that the software meets the practical, day-to-day needs of the athletic department.
