Role Overview
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Network Planning Analyst. In this role, you will play a significant role in optimizing the Etihad Airways’ cargo network that is operationally deliverable, maximizes profit, and is aligned to the broader Etihad Aviation Group’s strategy. You will be responsible for managing both short-term and long-term freighter schedules, recommending capacity optimization initiatives, and coordinating with key stakeholders across the business.

As a Network Planning Analyst, your analytical insights will directly impact Etihad’s bottom line. By analyzing route profitability and proposing corrective measures, you will ensure the optimal utilization of freighter and belly capacities. You will also play a key role in protecting and enhancing Etihad’s slot portfolio, ensuring timely publication of flights, and managing ad-hoc charter requests that add value without compromising scheduled operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the freighters schedule delivery/development process for short-term (current IATA season) and long-term (6-12 months) deliverables.
- Recommend initiatives/changes to senior management as part of continual capacity optimization.
- Develop annual budget schedules and 5- and 10-year schedules incorporating long-term fleet strategy.
- Coordinate with key business stakeholders including Network Planning, Revenue Management, Alliances, Operations, Government Affairs, Finance, and Corporate Communications.
- Protect and ensure continual enhancement of Etihad’s slot portfolio.
- Ensure timely and accurate publication of Etihad’s flights.
- Manage ad-hoc charter requests that add value and do not compromise operations.
- Design and implement a freighter network that ensures effective and profitable utilization of Etihad’s fleet.
- Analyze route profitability to support tactical and structural frequency and fleet adjustments.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of airline experience in network planning/scheduling.
- Exposure to airline cargo operations is highly advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate studies in a relevant discipline (preferred).
- Strong strategic planning and deep analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
