Role Overview
The Head of Technology Operations and IT Governance is a critical executive leadership role responsible for driving the bank’s technology delivery roadmap, ensuring robust solution architecture, and maintaining a world-class IT governance framework. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end delivery planning across all development streams, ensuring clear prioritization, accurate estimation, and seamless cross-functional alignment between development teams, PMO, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Key Strategic Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide architectural oversight for mobile applications, system integrations, APIs, and core business applications, ensuring scalable and secure design decisions. You will govern solution architecture standards and ensure that all designs align with enterprise architecture principles and long-term technology strategy. Additionally, you will manage internal and external vendor development resources, drive strategic DevOps and CI/CD initiatives, and lead the design and implementation of disaster recovery strategies to ensure minimal disruption of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery planning across all development streams, ensuring clear prioritization and visibility of dependencies.
- Oversee execution of the development roadmap, proactively addressing delivery bottlenecks, blockers, or scope risks.
- Drive cross-functional alignment between development teams, PMO, product owners, and business stakeholders.
- Provide architectural oversight for mobile applications, system integrations, APIs, and core business applications.
- Govern solution architecture standards and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
- Manage internal development resources, including capacity planning, workload distribution, and performance alignment.
- Oversee vendor development teams (offshore and nearshore), ensuring alignment on delivery expectations and productivity.
- Drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the software development lifecycle, including automation, DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Manage IT governance framework to define and maintain IT policies and procedures.
- Oversight IT Risk assessment from a risk management & compliance perspective and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Work directly with internal IT audit and coordinate with external auditors.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and task estimation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Architecture, Development, and Banking applications.
- Proven track record in Core Banking Implementation and Integration within a cloud environment.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Solid background in infrastructure and cloud technologies.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, architecture design patterns, and emerging integration approaches.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field.
