About the Role
Impactsearch – Finance Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee the HR operations for two interconnected companies within an international group. These companies specialize in logistics, food handling, and cold/freezer storage, employing around 400 individuals across 7 Dutch locations. The primary objective of this role is to harmonize and professionalize the overall HR policy and practices for both entities. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic insight and a practical, hands-on approach, fitting well within a dynamic, Rotterdam-influenced corporate culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Development: Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive strategic HR policy aligned with the business objectives of both companies.
- Process Harmonization: Lead the harmonization of HR processes and procedures across the two organizations, including the establishment of a centralized payroll system (‘loonhuis’) and ensuring pay transparency.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of HR professionals, including HR Business Partners, recruitment specialists, and Learning & Development (L&D) personnel.
- Performance Management: Design, implement, and improve systems for performance appraisals, employee development, and progress reviews.
- Internal Communications: Support and drive internal communication initiatives related to organizational changes, policy updates, safety protocols, and overall organizational development.
- Operational Integration: Ensure HR strategies and practices are effectively integrated into the operational aspects of the logistics, warehousing, and food handling businesses.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Minimum HBO (Higher Professional Education) or WO (University) level of work and thinking, preferably in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Labor Law.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of relevant HR experience is required.
- Process Professionalization: Demonstrated experience in professionalizing HR processes and systems.
- Industry Exposure: Experience in an operational environment, preferably in logistics, warehousing, production, cold/freezer storage, or the food industry.
- International Context: Experience within an international organization or with foreign shareholders is considered an advantage.
- Practical Application: Proven ability to both formulate policy and execute it practically.
