Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 50 Vacancies

• Proof of Date of Birth (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Matriculation Certificate).
• Educational certificates and marksheets from Class 10/SSC onwards.
• Valid Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) in the prescribed Government of India format.
• Disability Certificate (for PwBD candidates with 40% or more disability).
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer (if employed in Central/State Govt/PSU/Autonomous Body).
• Proof of qualifying national-level exams (GATE/UGC-CSIR-NET/JEST scorecards).

• General Requirement: Minimum 55% aggregate marks at both graduation and post-graduation levels from a recognized university (relaxed to 50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD).
• Category A (Physics/Materials Science/Chemistry/Radiation Physics): M.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. in the respective discipline with specific ancillary subjects at the B.Sc. level.
• Category B (Nuclear Engineering): M.Tech./M.E. in Nuclear Engineering / Nuclear Science & Technology.
• Category C (Engineering): B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engg./B.Sc.[Tech.] in Chemical, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Category D (M.E./M.Tech.): M.E./M.Tech. with a base B.E./B.Tech. degree in a Category-C discipline or M.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry).

Phase I: Screening Test

• A written screening test is tentatively scheduled for 02 August 2026 at Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, and Hyderabad.
• Candidates with valid UGC-CSIR-NET Fellowship, JEST score, or qualifying GATE score may be exempted from the screening test.

Phase II: Personal Interview

• Shortlisted candidates from the screening test and exempted candidates will undergo a personal interview at Kalpakkam, tentatively in the third week of August 2026.

2. Register with a valid email ID and mobile number to generate login credentials.
3. Fill out the online application form with personal, academic, and category details.
4. Upload scanned copies of required documents, including GATE/NET/JEST scorecards if applicable.
5. Select your preferred Screening Test center from the available options.
6. Pay the application fee online (if applicable) and submit the form.
7. Print the submitted application form, affix a recent passport-size photograph, sign it, and keep it safe for verification during the interview.
