Detailed Responsibilities
As an IT Specialist at PetroApp, your daily responsibilities will span across multiple domains of technical support, system administration, and network maintenance. You will be expected to:
- End-User Support: Provide high-quality technical support to both onsite and remote end-users, addressing hardware, software, and operating system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, workstations, and business applications. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies within Windows Server environments.
- Active Directory & Network Services: Troubleshoot and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to ensure secure and efficient user access control.
- Network Infrastructure: Monitor and support local area networks (LAN), wireless networks (Wi-Fi), and Virtual Private Networks (VPN) to maintain stable client connectivity.
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Keep track of system performance, ensure high availability of critical IT services, and assist in executing system upgrades, security patches, and software updates.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of IT procedures, system configurations, common issues, and implemented solutions to build a robust internal knowledge base.
