RRB Group D CEN 08/2024
- The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially declared the RRB Group D Result 2026 for CEN 08/2024 on 1st July 2026.
- This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 32,438 Level 1 vacancies across various railway zones in India.
- The Computer-Based Test (CBT) was successfully conducted from 27th November 2025 to 10th February 2026.
- Approximately 1.08 crore candidates appeared for the highly competitive CBT examination.
- The results were delayed due to a pending case in the Telangana High Court, which has now been resolved.

- Shortlisted candidates will now have to appear for the next stage, which is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- The PET is qualifying in nature, with different physical standards set for male and female candidates.

Selection & Exam Process
Phase I: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- The first stage of selection is an online CBT comprising multiple-choice questions.
- Candidates are tested on General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness.
- Minimum qualifying marks apply: UR/EWS (40%), OBC-NCL/SC (30%), ST (25%).
Phase II: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Candidates qualifying the CBT are shortlisted for the PET based on merit.
- Male Candidates: Must run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds, and lift and carry 35 kg of weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes.
- Female Candidates: Must run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds, and lift and carry 20 kg of weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes.
Phase III: Document Verification (DV)
- Candidates who clear the PET are called for verification of original academic and category certificates.
Phase IV: Medical Examination
- A final medical fitness test is conducted to ensure candidates meet the medical standards required for their respective posts.
