Selection Process
- The selection process for SBI Circle Based Officer (CBO) Recruitment 2026 will be conducted in multiple stages to assess candidates comprehensively.
Phase 1 – Online Examination:
- The online test will include Objective Tests of 120 marks and a Descriptive Test of 50 marks. The objective section will be of 2 hours duration and will cover English Language, Banking Knowledge, General Awareness/Economy, and Computer Aptitude. The descriptive test will be conducted for 30 minutes and will assess English writing skills through Letter Writing and Essay.

Phase 3 – Interview:
- The interview will carry 50 marks. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in the interview to be considered for final selection.
- Phase 4 – Local Language Proficiency Test:
- Provisionally selected candidates will have to appear for a local language proficiency test of the opted circle before joining. Candidates who have studied the specified local language in Class 10th or 12th will be exempted from this test.
Final Selection:
- The final merit list will be prepared based on normalized marks of the Online Test and Interview with a weightage of 75:25 respectively. There will be no penalty for wrong answers, and sectional cut-offs will not be applied.
