About the Role and Team

Stripe is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and persistent Account Executive for our Enterprise Platforms team, specifically focusing on the ‘Hunter’ segment. In this role, you will be responsible for creating partnerships between Stripe and some of the most innovative, fastest-growing software platforms in the world. You will help these organizations understand how Stripe’s online commerce and financial infrastructure can transform payments from a cost center into a powerful competitive advantage. The Platform Sales team works closely with B2B software platforms to facilitate payments for their customers using our flagship Stripe Connect product. Software platforms, also known as B2B Indirect, are businesses that serve other businesses, such as Shopify, Lightspeed, and Mindbody. As a key member of this team, you will manage and elevate relationships with a named account list while identifying new growth opportunities and ways Stripe can exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

As an Account Executive (New Business), your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Directly managing and nurturing a named account list and developing comprehensive account plans for winning and expanding business with upper-middle-market and enterprise companies.
  • Building and maintaining key relationships with C-level executives (including CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and CTOs) while orchestrating the right executive touchpoints across both organizations.
  • Contributing to shaping our platform partnership strategy and building repeatable processes and scaled engagement models.
  • Developing outbound strategies to create, nurture, and close new business opportunities.
  • Owning the full sales cycle from lead generation to close for upper-middle-market and enterprise companies.
  • Working collaboratively with company leaders from multiple functions, including Engineering, Product, and Finance, to lead complex product workshops and financial analyses.
  • Leading and contributing to team projects to develop and refine our sales process, value proposition, and sales enablement tools.
  • Engaging directly with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy based on customer feedback and market demands.

You are an adept salesperson and relationship manager capable of engaging in both business-level and highly technical conversations at multiple levels of an organization. You have extensive experience working with upper-middle-market and enterprise companies and possess an in-depth understanding of the buyer journey. You excel at leading complex, multi-party sales in a highly consultative manner. You enjoy building value in competitive situations and thrive when working on products that require deep product understanding combined with technical knowledge. You have a strong problem-solving focus, enjoy digging into business models, and love helping customers quantify their investment decisions. You get excited about prospecting and are capable of independently leading a sales cycle from start to finish. Finally, you enjoy building—you like to actively participate in the development of our sales process, the articulation of our value proposition, and the creation of key tools and assets.

Work Environment and Compensation

Stripe supports a hybrid work model. This role is available either in an office (New York or South San Francisco HQ) or in a remote location (defined as being 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office) within the United States. The annual US base salary range (On Target Earnings, including base and commission) for this role is $312,000 – $468,000. This range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on your experience, qualifications, and location. Additional benefits include equity, company bonuses, a 401(k) plan, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
