Key Responsibilities
- Build scalable accounting processes to support global growth in payment processing accounting.
- Partner with product, go-to-market, and Finance teams to understand new products, features, and contracts.
- Partner with Systems and Engineering teams to improve financial systems and automate accounting processes.
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and design processes and controls for emerging business activities.
- Develop and maintain current accounting procedure documentation.
- Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, financial reporting deliverables, and reviews.
- Produce management analyses and reporting, and support external audit processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Professional accountancy qualification, such as CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, and 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with monthly or quarterly close processes, journal-entry preparation and posting, audits, regulatory reporting, financial-statement preparation, and accounting systems.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606, and experience with internal controls.
- Ability to structure ambiguous work, solve problems using Excel, build systems and automation, collaborate across functions and cultures, and adapt to changing requirements.
